I’m not particularly keen on being protected by “honorable” citizens. Like, be honest about your motivations for carrying, and don’t foist your desire to be a “hero” on the general public as an excuse for putting us all more at risk. Thanks.

My doom and gloom meter has been pegged out recently. The world hasn’t ended yet. Seriously. Unless you live in Pacifica, the ground is not crumbling beneath your feet. Sun still shines somewhere on this planet. These are good things. As long as I’m still living, I’m going to keep on trucking along and not give in to the desire to see the worst in everything.

Since we live near where the Super Bowl is this year, mr. klys was paranoid about terrorists trying to set off a dirty bomb. Insisted that we go out of town for the weekend. I said fine, but we have to be home before the game ends because I’m a hell of a lot more paranoid about drunk drivers. Realistic risk assessment is something I encourage.
