“Lowest of the low”, you said. I wanted to make the point that other nations have even worse problems. That’s not saying we have none, its saying your ranking is off.

Do you honestly think anyone here doesn’t know that? Any sentient being paying attention to the outside world knows things are far worse in many other places on the planet.

So what? The point is that we should hold ourselves to a higher standard. And that we should concern ourselves with things we can change—US policy—instead of deflecting by pointing out things we can’t change—the barbarism in much of the rest of the world.
