I can’t say I’m surprised; if you look at the biographies of quite a few of the Nazis (not all of them, mind you) they were certainly living in a reality they’d created for themselves. It was bizarre and outlandish, filled with pseudo-science, Romanticist claptrap and all manner of outrageous woowoo.
