Oh, she knows exactly what she’s doing and whose dick she’s sucking, but I think it’s for her own self-interest rather than for political power. Both she and the Tea Party types are using each other for their own needs. They have her around to bring in the useful idiots who follow her and think she’s brilliant, and she uses the Tea Party types to get paid large sums of money to come and speak.

Unless she’s even more delusional than some of her fans, she has to know that she’s completely unelectable on the federal level. She was on a losing presidential ticket, she quit her job after 18 months, and she’s yet to show anything that would offer any sane voter any confidence that she could effectively serve. But if keeping up the pretense for her fans keeps the money coming in, she’ll do it.
