“They” are anonymous. Using DDOS attacks on the credit card companies is the nuclear option; if they actually disrupted shit, they just cost those companies millions of dollars.
Anonymous are not the ones doing WIkileaks. They just like them.
Actually, I can. Typically, the point where hackers start going to jail is when their hacks start costing large amounts of money, rather than being annoyances or revealing information.
I get your ‘they’, point taken, disrupted is the correct choice of term, its more accurate than shut down as others are using.
On your second point, I look forward to further discussion with you on this as time elapses. I haven’t seen it with google, I didn’t see it with Stuxnet. Just two recent examples.
