Depending on the situation, sometimes just one or two.

I just feel bad for those 23 people who had to be subjected to people like the Bachmanns and then trotted out like tokens of what an altruistic loving etc person she must be.

The conventional wisdom is that they all ought to be grateful for whatever treatment they get, but that isn’t always true.
