Always remember that repeal of Glass-Steagall did NOT result in much more to the average BANK customer that another Desk in their Bank where financial instruments - Not FDIC Insured - and clearly labeled as such - were sold. As such, it was a convenience - with returns generally a bit below those of most major name Money Market or Mutual Funds. Please advise where Glass-Steagall repeal is to blame for the “Mess.”
As for ENFORCEMENT of existing law in the last dozen or so years - Different Story.
