Well, stop protecting me, I can take care of myself. The government is protecting me so well, they forgot some of the basic needs of a human. Feeling some worth, accomplishment, caring, you know, those things I need besides the nanny state.

It’s like they don’t need me right now, because I’m in my 50’s, but the whole thing is set up to make sure I don’t make it to retirement age. I guess they are just hoping I’ll disappear before I cost them some money.

Oh, you kid. Relax. Don’t struggle. Settle back into the warm, protective embrace of the government. Momma knows best. You’ll just hurt yourself, or get all flustered, if you insist on trying to provide for yourself.

What are you? Some kind of bitter clinger? Don’t you know that this is the 21^st century. You’re supposed to be better than that.
