I have a self-control problem.
First, my sainted father offers to help pay for my middle daughter’s college tuition to the tune of $10,000/year, making this path possible for our family.
Then, in the same phone call, he says “So what do you think about those two dead cops?” and from there, before I can say anything, we are at “thousands of leftists calling for dead cops” and “the race-baiter-in-chief and his cronies.”

I tried saying “Dad, this doesn’t have anything to do with Obama.”
Then I said, “Dad, we need to end this conversation”
Then I said, “Dad, I think we should hang up now”

But nothing stopped him. On and on about leftist cop-haters and Al Sharpton being Obama’s best pal. Thank God my partner grabbed the phone from me before I could hang up on him, possibly saving my daughter’ college education.
My question: in the same circumstances, would you have been able to say “Yes, Dad. You’re right, Dad. It’s all Obama’s fault, and the leftist haters”?
