I had some real problems with it, especially when turning on and off the compatibility feature, I switched to FF with this release.

I noticed that feature. It looks like they know that Internet Explorer 8 doesn’t work with a lot of web sites. But they have included a button that you can push when you go to those web sites, which will then make it work. I find that to be sort of a philosophically challenging concept, in terms of software design.
