Oh yeah? Lots of racial epithets thrown around at sporting events? I’ve never noticed any.

I’d say having “Jew” shouted at you by an unruly mob counts as being threatened. My ancestors have had some experience in that area, and reports are that things can go badly.

It’s true that US sports is generally free of racial abuse at this point (not so much in the 50s).

Homophobic abuse still rampant though.
