Yep! Both directed at them and as a third party. Some of the stuff I overheard from fellow CS majors who didn’t realize a woman was around made me question my field of study at times. Or, at least, college aged men.

In my work I’ve largely been lucky to have not run into it much, but outside of work, even with nominal friends, I’ve gotten plenty directed at me or women in general.

I get some of it in reverse at work (for various reasons higher education employs a lot of women, and no they’re not all faculty wives).

Easier to laugh it off as a guy, though, because you don’t have the underlying pervasive culture of discrimination working against you.
