Trump supporters should all be shunned, they’re the worst of the worst, but calling people “racist” when they’re not doesn’t help. There’s zero chance that all Trump supporters are racists.

I see human rights as one of the non-negotiable issues. I’m cool with talking different approaches on financial stuff and foreign policy, but the bigotry, racism, and misogyny out of the GOP is just a flat out deal breaker. Until that stops, it’s an easy decision for me.

Being okay with those qualities in a candidate for whatever reason means that, at least at some level, they’re okay with it. They just don’t want to think about themselves that way. You can argue that if you point this out, they’re going to be uncomfortable and run away from the truth and that’s probably accurate, because most people don’t want to do that kind of introspection.
