Laws against Sharia Law would be analogous to laws against Biblical Law: completely unnecessary and superfluous. In the United States, we have separation of religion and state. So we don’t have Biblical Law or Sharia Law; we simply have our various secular laws, from the Constitution down to “local” things like traffic laws.

Sure, there are people who want to see some or all of Sharia Law imposed in the United States. There are also people, like Rick Santorum, who want to see some or all of Biblical Law imposed in the United States. I’m not in favor of either viewpoint, but we don’t need to outlaw either of them.
