But it’s not just Israel we have to consider. We still have troops in two Muslim nations, Iraq and Afghanistan. If possible, it is in our interest to keep our actions to diplomatic measures only. If we send a ship that then sinks an Iranian ship, then our troops will lose support in those countries because we will be seen as fighting against Islam of behalf of Israel.

that is kinda like saying if we bust a drug smuggler form Mexico we will lose the Hispanic vote… I am not buying it.
