Ditto, summer. I live in a modest N. FL area with many retired folks who felt they were set to enjoy their “golden years”. Now they’re bagging groceries at the local supermarket, hoping to shore up their diminishing retirement accounts. Makes me very, very angry.

It is heartbreaking. It isn’t right! I am very angry, too.

I am thinking that maybe I should start organizing a pot luck dinner once a week. Invite the old and the young and the in-between. We can’t party like the “O”, but we can lend some moral support to people who are suffering.
