If you really want to get scared, consider that much of the networking hardware is made in China. If they wanted to put “back doors” in it, we might never know, until they shut down the equipment.

On the plus side, China and the US are now so intricately bound economically that things would already have to be really, really, really bad before China launched such an attack; they’d be slashing their own wrists from an economic standpoint.

North Korea, on the other hand, has no such problem.
