Yep. That’s part of the problem today with normal child discipline in public. Used to be folks would cheer if a brat kid got smacked in public, now they stand aghast and tut-tut about child abuse, which is ridiculous.

I witnessed a horrible situation on the bus one evening. A toddler in his stroller wanted some of his mother’s juice, so she handed him the bottle. She proceeded to look away for a minute and then looked back at the boy to see he was dribbling juice all over himself, so she took the juice bottle away and popped him in the mouth. He said something like, “I hate you” to which she popped him in the mouth again. I was so appalled, I didn’t know what to do. I had to restrain myself from reaching over and popping her in the mouth. Now I wish I had told her that if I saw her do it one more time I was going to call the police. It was her own fault for not paying attention to her child that he was making a mess, but he got hit in the face for it. What a bitch.
