Vista changed some internal interfaces, and some old drivers just wouldn’t work. If you make hardware, rewriting drivers for old devices is a money sink. Microsoft should have paid them to rewrite the drivers; it would have been better than the reputation Vista got.

True, true. Does 7 have the same issue, though, or does it use the same technology as Vista?
