I’ve pretty much had it with the NRA.

I’ve never liked them but I am careful to separate individual gun owners from the NRA. For one, I just don’t like generalizing people and two, a lot of my older extended family are and were gun owners. I respect the second amendment but the second amendment does not say that arms are never to be regulated ever. I mean sometimes you just need common sense in a society that has a dis proportionally high amount of firearms deaths. I also tire of the comparison of guns to cars. Yes car accidents kill more Americans but I’d like someone in the NRA to acknowledge just once that a car’s not designed for killing, a gun is, whether that’s a person or an animal, it makes no difference, it’s designed to kill. I’ve got no problem with ownership but the primary purpose of guns is to harm another life. Sorry for the rant. Just gets annoying hearing NRA stooges made ridiculous claims.
