Yeah, that’s probably part of my problem, I’ve been letting the computer create my squads and I tend to end up with a lot of Heavies. And I really wish it did something like pooling equipment so that you could just hand it out at the beginning of a mission, rather than trying to get the armor off the injured vet to put on the rookie for his first mission.

My problem was I went after too many shiny things, like the Phoenix cannon for my interceptors, too soon and burned up resources I could have put towards better armor for my soldiers. Here I am, running a Col. Heavy into battle still wearing Carapace armor.

I’d been upgrading my weapons, let the armor slide for too long, so I’m
just getting around to the carapace and grappling hooks. Spent too much time interrogating and doing autopsies instead of researching gear.

I kind of like that though, it forces you to really think about what you’re working on and focus your efforts appropriately.
