I have got my wife hooked on shows like Xena: Warrior Princess and Hercules: The Legendary journeys on Netflix. We watched on episode last night where they used “Ass” and “Bitch” and it was right around the time the FCC relaxed regulations on language. All throughout the seasons, up until that point, the language was “clean”. Made me chuckle just a bit.

I’m old enough to remember when profanity was allowed on basic cable. Even some light nudity later at night.
