THIS. As a parent I can’t think of any circumstances under which I’d say something like that to another person who’d just lost a child, even f I wasn’t saying it to them face-to-face. AFAIK, none of the victims has even been buried yet, FFS.

I feel like it’s incredibly difficult for modern conservatives to not say the horrible things they’re thinking. Different people have different levels of inhibition of course, but in my experience when you get them in a private discussion they’re often just itching to say or defend something atrociously racist, sexist, classist or that just plain contains hideous implications.
