This particular phenomenon has been monetized and whomever is behind it stands to profit handsomely. Which is why it’s probably still a thing, despite being so utterly ridiculous.

As soon as “Trending on Twitter” became a news item in and of itself, I began to despair for the future of the Republic.

People like Breitbart, Drudge and now QAnon were among the first to understand that they just have to float bullshit out there long enough and it will develop legs and get picked up and discussed by the MSM as if it had some validity.

Now “Clinton Witness Removal” is out there nicely distracting us from Trump’s own personal connection to the dead child molester.
