In Louisiana, the New Orleans Saints start their season soon. There are currently NO capacity restrictions for the Superdome, which can hold almost 75 000 fans.

The Saints are requiring proof of vaccination of negative PCR test. Some fans who don’t want to comply are pissed the team is not offering them refunds on tickets they have already purchased.

I hope I’m wrong, but I really think football season will be the straw that breaks the camels back in terms of Covid down here.

Already seeing that with high schools shutting down in-person classrooms but still allowing the extracurricular groups to meet (i.e. football teams).
