As and for charity… gosh, if I were more conpsiratorially-minded, I’d say the purpose of that is to dry up private charity, and further ensure that everyone has to turn to Big Daddy Gummint when they need help.

We should be able to deduct our taxes from our taxes. They will be one big charity donation./
