this is a positive sign.

DT could always count on a solid 30% of rabid supporters for whatever he did…if this shaves a few points off that number, it will make it harder for the GOP to assemble a majority.

The dynamic, IMO, isn’t so much the “30%” - they are probably pretty hopeless - but with the “70%”; an unfortunately large percentage of whom can’t be bothered to engage in the political process, or who just tune it out as irrelevant, or vote reflexively (R) out of habit. One would hope that accumulated outrage at the abysmal incompetence of this Administration (and the enabling/grifting of its Congressional apologists) might sway enough of the apathetic to finally get up off their asses and DO something: but it’s going to be an uphill struggle.
