Re: the “I pledge” video.
I cannot watch it but what I have read about it is that it is a bunch of hollywoodites ‘pledging’ to be good green citizens (at least until the National Enquirer catches them out at a drunken party with no panties)

I got news for all you folks. The CW channel, and others, are all running public service ads with celebs being green. How the world is going to come to an end if Janey doesn’t unplug her cell phone charger when she goes off to school in the morning - nothing said about leaving the lights on. Saturday AM ads - horrifying and not a barbie commercial in sight. The entire “Power Rangers” series is about ‘saving the planet from the evil industrialists’ gotta have heart.

If you are worried about the Obama Goes To School video, simply call your child’s school and arrange to view the vid with the student. Then you can participate in the ‘after discussion’ and veto (nicely of course) your childs participation in any “Do it for the O” activities.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with the president giving an address to school children. A little “Hi, I’m your president, welcome back to school. I hope you all have a good year and do well”

I would draw the line at making students write letters to themselves on how they can help the president. BUT if they change tha to being a good citizen, that would be better.

I pledge not to throw lit cigarettes out the car window while driving down I-5.
