Bursting into flames when you open an old film can couldn’t help. For that matter my favorite film >from 1962 is effectively ‘lost’. No decent print is known to exist.

That was the one part of Scorsese’s Hugo that I found a bit distracting. I know that’s a huge issue for him, but it was really and truly forced in that film.
