I certainly know the feeling. Although I have to say I am a conservative first and a Republican by default.

I was raised in a republican family but I recently had to politically disown two of my four brothers, their so blasted dem I get a little nauseated listening to the talk. We all finally had agreed to not talk politics at family gatherings or it was going to split the family along party lines.
