In many cases, the state cannot be distinguished from the religion- certainly not in the Middle East.

That is another reality we have to deal with. Just because the state uses religion does not mean we have to back off.

Life saving drugs can be misused too. If they are, we are obligated to try and stop that, even if they say they are practicing ‘medicine’. FGM is not medicine either.
