Fucking pathetic.

It just allows the utility companies to coordinate the units in a neighborhood to save energy. i.e. if 100 AC compressors decide to start at 10 AM sharp due to rising temp, they might delay mine turning on by a few minutes. I won’t notice, but the surge load will be much less. As long as I don’t notice and it saves me money, I don’t find it pathetic.
