170 knots max winds indicated? That’s 195 mph. Enough to ruin all but the most secure structures. A large fetch and you’ve got significant storm surge too.

For all the talk about how the Atlantic Basin has been quiet this season so far (at least as far as hits on the US), the Pacific has seen several monster storms with significant casualties).
