Disco Demolition Night
, at Comiskey Park in 1979. The rowdy fans caused so much commotion and damage that the White Sox were obliged to forfeit the second game of their double-header with the Detroit Tigers.

But please do remember those were White Sox fans. (North Side and the Cubs, if it takes forever!) :D

I don’t know if it has been mentioned (I am not caught up with the thread!) There was also the Cleveland Indians baseball team’s 10 Cent Beer Night at old Cleveland Municipal Stadium back in the late 70s. It turned into a riot/fight that started with the fans messing with the Texas Rangers outfielder that started the Rangers fighting with the fans, egged on by bad-boy manager Billy Martin. Then it just went into pure riot.

A mistake by the lake: Remembering the 10-cent Beer Night riot
