AEP was in the neighborhood installing new digital smart meters on our homes this afternoon.

Now we can log in at AEP and see our own meter and its usage.

They also report any messing with the meter trying to cheat the electricity and if it gets shut off it needs to be reset by a tech coming to the house to check why it went off.

That also means they self report any outage coming into the meter the moment there is an outage.

Can be read by wifi and is always up-linking to satellite.

It’s probably spying on me right now…damn digital world.
