Oh you know that’s just a “Progressive” plot. I went to Monticello for the first time this fall and Jefferson’s disdain for putting religion in the public sphere could not have been more blatant. I remember when we had a ballot initiative on gay marriage that George Allen actually claimed that this is what Jefferson would have wanted.
