The last time I played poker with my friends one of them went full on moonbat and started ranting about how the fascists put ‘God on the money’. Needless to say I never talk politics when playing.

I totally ignore it when it comes up, or I change the subject. Even my “conservative” friends tend to drive me up the wall in similar situations. I have to keep 2-3 interesting topics on the backburner most of the time I’m with my friends for poker games or whatever. As soon as something asinine is said… switch to auxiliary topic.
