Just got the first “it’s NOT Happy Holidays it’s Merry Christmas!” Pop up on my FB.

Even putting aside the idea that people from religious traditions other than Christian also celebrate holidays, I’m old enough to remember when we used to wish everyone “Happy Holidays” simply because New Year’s Day is a holiday too, and we thought people ought to enjoy it.
