It’s kind of like “tsunami”, where the “t” and the “s” are pronounced somewhat separately, but slammed into each other as to sound like one letter.

Cthulhu… The “c” and “t” slammed together as one letter (like saying “cut” without the letter “u”), with a “th” sound slammed right into the back of that.

That’s the proper way. Otherwise, no cosmic portals for you.
