I expect any immigrant from any country to assimilate and understand/respect the laws, just as we should expect our citizens to behave accordingly. Religion should not be an exception. Yes, I understand that we have communities like the Amish, but they are law-abiding citizens and certainly don’t expect female cops to dress like them in order to barter for cooperation.

The government in the UK is so pc it wouldn’t occur to them to encorage the type of integration we are used to here in the states. The situation is radicalizing many Brits I am afraid.
