We haven’t had a chance for the less red parts of the country to weigh in yet on whether we’re ready to stop being stupid. The only special elections we’ve had so far were in what were supposed to be districts so safely red that it was fine to pull guys like Zinke and Price and Mulvaney out of them, because how could a Democrat even make the race close?
