I will repeat myself. This guy is an a—, but i really think excommunication should be reserved for, yes, even more extreme cases than this. Like a man who kills random jews, instead of someone who ridiculously denies that such people have existed.

And i say this as a non-catholic, who really has no dog in this hunt. But I think they are perfectly reasonable in saying “since your sin was one of the mind, we will continue to try to make you see the light. keep coming to our church.”

So i guess i don’t get the outrage here.
