So, my wife & I lose our state health insurance on Jan 1 so I’m looking at The Website and am amazed at just how shitty even silver level plans are. Gold is almost acceptable - but danged if I can figure out how the subsidy applies to the $1000 a month at that level. Our son is still covered by the state for $10 a month, Thank God (and I say that sincerely). But even with just the two of us, the deductibles are impossible to pay.

We need single payer in this nation and we need it now.

What does your state’s Platinum look like? The real-world tradeoff is low monthly vs high deductible all the way through. Navigators can point that out to you, but can’t direct you towards one provider or another.
