The strangest banning I ever saw happened when some guy whose nic had a link to his website which was full of truly disturbing pictures. Otherwise he was carrying on a normal conversation until people starting asking him “wtf”, and then things went weird in a hurry. Somebody was able to make contact with Charles and the guy was obliterated from the site.
