It used to be GOP=Good and Dem=Bad but now they’ve started to eat the GOP because of “establishment” this and that.

Yes, for MAGA, the GOP congress itself can’t be trusted. Trump is their only true guardian, the only one dedicated to their interests, etc.

But I do think this represents an important shift in the conservative base or a large portion of that base, from a stance that, beginning with the Tea Party, was obstensibly about True Conservative Patriot Americans Less Government to a less ideological, more personal candidate driven Followerism.
