I have noticed the recent wingnut trend to equate the Nazis with communists as left wing authoritarians. All dictators are officially left wing, no matter what their actual policies or beliefs. Apparently, there is no such thing as right wing dictatorships…since right wing conservatism is now redefined to automatically exclude authoritarian right wing types. It is “No True Scotsman” as official propaganda policy.
