I cannot imagine giving birth to a child while my others are grown. If I started when I was 18, that would mean that I was giving birth in my late 30s. Wow. I’m getting tired just thinking about it.

Evidently, she was not a happy woman. She abused all the children and ended up committing suicide when our soldier was 10 - to his relief. He said she was in her 50s.
