I can’t decide, personally, what’s dopier—people getting up in arms about the Gay Jesus plays, or college kids who think that doing a Gay Jesus play is a really cool and edgy.

Do the kids in a college theater department really choose the plays they’re going to do, or is it the faculty? Either way, I don’t care if it’s cool or edgy. Is it any good or is it badly written? That’s the real question, IMO.

What’s wrong with “Godspell” for heaven’s sakes?

The songs get stuck in your head for days. I did Godspell with my church youth group in high school. I walked around singing “Day By Day” for *ages* even after the play wrapped.

I’d rather do the gay Jesus play any day than go through that again. Heh.
