That, I think, is a reasonable way to handle it…I really don’t think that any health practitioner should be forced to do something they find unconscionable, but I worry about women’s access to health care, if a health provider has an unassailable right to say ‘no’ to drugs and procedures they oppose.

No one right now is “stuck” with only one health provider. Right now, people have choices and can go to the providers of their choice, and can change providers if they don’t like the one they have.

I’m not so sure this freedom to choose among providers for your own personal healthcare would be available to us if there were substantial changes to our system, say, like, the creation of a national health care system.
