We are witnessing the fall of the Modern Rome.

The iron rule of history is that all empires fall.

The corollary to that is new ones rise. India, Brazil, among others will be playing a much bigger role in international relations in this decade and beyond. The biggest fault I have with our current system and I say this as someone who is more economically moderate but capitalism does not begate democracy.
